Then we headed to the one and only pineapple plantation. On our way there, our amazing bus driver told us a lot about Hawaiian history. We all enjoyed the bus rides because we listened to loud music and everyone is in a good mood. In the pineapple plantation we could try pineapple whip and buy souvenirs. The whip is totally worth every penny and if you don't like ice cream you also can get a good pineapple cheese cake.
We rode the bus to a little surf town called Haleiwa. There we did little shoppings and we met a guy who was part of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. That made our day! We could eat lunch at a "famous" local burger place or other restaurants. We got a typical pineapple and avocado burger - delicious!
We shouldn't forget to mention that we stopped on a wonderful beach. It's was just a short stop and we felt like total tourists because 95 exchange students came there for 5 minutes to take pictures and then we left. Btw we stopped the traffic too.
After lunch we went to the Polynesian cultural center where people from all the different Polynesian islands work. There we saw 3 different shows. All of them were really funny - really really funny! We also had some free time in the center where we could get tattoos, learn how to make fire, learn the hula dance, etc.
It was a long day and everyone is exhausted. We are really looking forward to tomorrow where we can relax on the beach.
Buona Notte and Hyvää yötä.
